Las Vegas Dealer Meeting a Success

At the end of a long day with a multitude of miles under your feet walking a major show like SEMA, you would think the evening would be a nice time to kick back and relax. Technical director Dan Peterson and director of aftermarket products Karl Dedolph consider it only the start of a typical day here in Las Vegas. Evenings offer additional opportunities to share the AMSOIL story and tell what's new.

Actually, Karl and Dan conducted two meetings yesterday. In the afternoon, they presented a technical seminar on gasoline additives at the Las Vegas Convention Center which was attended by show goers, editors and AMSOIL Dealers. In the evening, they held a meeting for AMSOIL Dealers at the Distribution Center here.

The agenda was packed with DJ introductions, announcements, an overview of AMSOIL performance products, sales testimonials, Q&A, and previews of coming attractions. Attendees began arriving at 5:00 p.m. Pizzas were ordered, followed by good conversations until 7:00 when the meeting started, continuing till 9:15, with good conversations and informative exchanges taking place later still.

Feedback from the attendees was that it was fun and informative, with lots of Dealer participation. The Jim Cleary and staff did a great job with preparing the facilities and in hospitality. As they say, you should have been there.

AMSOIL Dealer Wins Memorable Experience at NASCAR Bank of America 500 Race

This summer at the AMSOIL 35th Anniversary Convention, Dealers were given an opportunity to enter a drawing sponsored by WIX Filters for tickets to the NASCAR Bank of America 500 Race. As guests of AMSOIL and WIX, the winner received two tickets plus exciting perks such as pit clearance, a walk-through of the NASCAR garages, and all access passes at the races. Held at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC, the main event happened on Saturday, October 11th.

AMSOIL Dealer Charlie Koch from Lowden, IA won the drawing and with son Tim in tow experienced the weekend of a lifetime, a trip they won’t soon forget.

Charlie had never been to a NASCAR race before, and Tim had never attended a night race though he is a serious racing enthusiast. “It was a great, great experience…even for a person who hasn’t been previously associated with NASCAR. The WIX folks went above and beyond the call of duty to entertain us on both Friday and Saturday night races… Saturday nights’ race was certainly the highlight,” Said Charlie, who recently achieved Direct Jobber level with his AMSOIL Dealership. “I’ve been a livestock person all my life, and got associated with gear heads once I got involved with AMSOIL in 2004.”

This weekend’s NASCAR event was certainly a big one. Jessica Simpson performed a one-hour concert before the race, with many other celebrities in attendance. Jeff Burton (Chevy #31) ended up taking the win at Saturday’s race, followed by Kasey Kahne (Dodge #9). Rounding out the top 5 was Kurt Busch (Dodge #2), Kyle Busch (Camry #18), and Jamie McMurray (Ford #26), respectively.

Congratulations to Charlie Koch for his exciting win to attend the NASCAR Bank of America 500 Sprint Cup Race!

PRI Show Has It All

Canopies, trailers, racing suits, merchandise, licensing, associations, pistons, cams, gears, engine components, dynos, shocks, engines, wheels, transmissions, bodies, frames, graphics, filters, intakes, cylinder heads, gaskets, brakes, fuels – if it has to do with racing, it’s here in Orlando at the PRI Show, including many of the racers themselves.

The show not only covers every component for racers, it covers every kind and style of racing from go-karts to NASCAR and everything in between.

Boyd and Jo Coddington were impressed by the scope of the racing industry, having their first racing adventures at Bonneville this summer. Yesterday afternoon they presented their story of the Salt Fever Bonneville build and in the evening were the featured speakers at a special AMSOIL Dealer meeting. For all who attended it was a memorable evening with two really influential and generous people. Much like A.J. Amatuzio and AMSOIL re-defined the standards for quality in the oil industry, so Boyd Coddington re-defined the hot rod scene with his creative, passionate approach and love of cars.

If you’re a racing enthusiast, be sure to follow the AMSOIL racing teams on our racing blog or visit the racing section of our site, which is jam packed with racing news, photo galleries, video racing footage, and more. If you are a racer using AMSOIL lubricants and filters, send us your photos and tell us your story. Perhaps we’ll be able to add you to the testimonials section of our site.
