NSRA Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals This Weekend

The next stop for the NSRA Nationals is June 24-26 in Pueblo, CO at the Colorado State Fairgrounds. The NSRA hosts various events throughout the nation all summer long, aimed at drawing out enthusiasts of the classic car movement. Car collectors from all over the area come out to display their restored classic vehicles in Pueblo, the largest event of its kind in the region. NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals Headed to Bakersfield, CA

California is the site of the next NSRA Street Rod Nationals event, to be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield next weekend. Street rod enthusiasts of all ages are granted access to some of the most beautifully restored vintage street rods to view up close. Over 2,000 specialty rods 30 years and older are expected, from the Western U.S. and beyond.

Since 2007 AMSOIL has worked with the National Street Rod Association to bring awareness to the hobby. AMSOIL Direct Jobbers are also on hand at all NSRA events, working booth space to promote the benefits of AMSOIL lubricants to enthusiasts and spectators alike. NSRA Golden State Nationals Headed to Sacramento

This weekend 2010 NSRA Golden State Nationals is slated for Sacramento, October 1-3. Held at the Cal-Expo Center, the NSRA Golden State Nationals is expected to draw over 1,600 street rods, muscle cars, custom cars and specialty vehicles from all over the country. Manufactured 30+ years ago, these rides have modern features added such as state of the art suspensions, four-wheel disc brakes and comfort features like air conditioning and cruise control.

In addition to the miles of cars available to view up close, several activities are scheduled aimed at people of all ages. A swap meet, live entertainment, tether car display and over $78,000 in Super Prize giveaways will round out the festivities, with the Circle of Winners ceremony to close out the weekend on Sunday.

Next Stop for NSRA Nationals: Burlington, VT

If you are on the East Coast, next weekend is your chance to attend the 17th Annual Northeast Street Rod Nationals Plus event. Over 1,600 vehicles will descend on Burlington, VT, bringing with them a weekend of fun for the entire family.

In addition to the street rods, this year’s event will also include customs, collectors and muscle cars for the public to view up close and personal. Off to Kalamazoo

Autumn is a very special time of the year in the Northern tier states as the robust colors of autumn emerge. No doubt residents from east to west will claim that their neck of the woods is the most beautiful on on a brilliant fall day. This might be one reason the Street Rod Nationals North moves into Kalamazoo each year in early September, this week for its 31st annual gathering.

Kicking off on Friday, September 10, the Street Rod Nationals North features a wide array of street rods, muscle cars, custom cars, trucks & more. NSRA National events always draw a huge crowd of enthusiasts. Over 2,900 vehicles will be on display over the weekend, cumulatively worth an estimated $81 million.

In addition to the miles of cars available to view up close, several activities are scheduled aimed at people of all ages. Special features such as the Streets of Rods, 29 Below Rodders & Pro’s Picks will feature rods in areas unique to each group. 37th Street Rod Nationals East Headed to York, PA

The National Street Rod Association descended on York, PA for the 37th Street Rod Nationals East Plus event. This will be the 30th year the NSRA has chosen York as their host city for this event and over 3,800 street rods are expected to be on display throughout the weekend.

As with all NSRA National events, the weekend offers something to do for the entire family. Vintage swap meet, Women’s World, live entertainment and much more will appeal to people of all ages. As a special attraction, there will also be a Model Car Contest courtesy of the Central PA Model Car Club. Open to the public, spectators are free to submit their own model masterpieces or just examine the entries while meeting the members and builders. On Sunday, a “Circle of Winners” awards ceremony will be held in the grandstands where the top street rods will be recognized.

Bakersfield NSRA Nationals Rapidly Approaching

The weeks are flying past now as the event season begins to kick into gear. Mark your calendars now for the National Street Rod Association’s 34th Annual Western Street Rod Nationals next week in Bakersfield, CA. The event kicks off April 23 at Kern County Fairgrounds where over 2,000 specialty vehicles 30 years and older will be on display. Richmond Nationals Just Around the Corner

The end of summer brings another NSRA event to Richmond, VA August 28-30th. For the 5th year, Richmond is hosting the NSRA Richmond Nationals and it is sure to be another success. AMSOIL is a sponsor of this fine organization, and as we head into fall there are only 4 more NSRA Nationals events left. This is your chance to see more than 1,000 street rods in one place if you happen to be in the vicinity of Richmond and surrounding areas. Pre-1979 street rods, customs, muscle cars and more will be lined up for public viewing consumption.

With the usual Women’s World, swap meet, and games for the kids, the Richmond Nationals also brings the Streets of Rods event. This time around, there are awards to be won in the following categories:

29 & Below: Featuring registered members age 29 or under. Bringing in a new generation to this American pastime, these members will be recognized with a dash plaque and two special Super Prize drawings.

York, PA Set to Host 36th Street Rod Nationals June 5-7

The NSRA is gearing up for the next Street Rod Nationals event, this time in York, PA. The 36th Street Rod Nationals East event is being held at the York Expo Center June 5-7, and an estimated 3,500-4,000 street rods are expected to be on display.

Aside from the thousands of ‘main attractions,’ the Street Rod Nationals East event will also include a trade show, swap meet and Women’s World area with arts and crafts. Over 100 manufacturer and dealer displays will be on board as well, so there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Once you have had your fill of street rods and nostalgia, York is also known to be the Factory Tour Capitol of the world. From the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Tour, to the Hershey’s Chocolate World Visitor Center in nearby Hershey, there is something for everyone in between. Hershey is also home to the AACA, or Antique Automobile Club of America. Continue your vintage street rod-themed weekend here, where elaborately themed exhibits take you through the history of the automobile industry.

Knoxville Loves Antique Cars

It’s springtime in Knoxville, and the 26th annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals is coming to town. Between two and three thousand street rods are expected to be on display at the Chilhowee Park & Expo Center. Thousands more show up to see these vintage cars from across the USA as spectators are free to check out each vehicle close up, with no ropes or sectioned off areas.

As with other NSRA events, there are more than just beautifully restored cars. A trade show, swap meet, arts and crafts fair and daily entertainment round out the weekend. A special ‘Streets of Rods’ area will also be at this show this weekend, be sure you don’t miss it. In addition to this great event, Knoxville is home to more than 20 museums and 7 historical houses so there is plenty more to see when you're in the neighborhood.

Bakersfield Set to Host 23rd Western Street Rod Nationals

If you're into vintage cars and happen to be in the region, make plans to attend the 23rd Western Street Rod Nationals coming April 24-26 to Bakersfield, CA.
